Student alliance project

Student Alliance Project is a youth-led collaboration to cultivate diverse young leaders in Oregon and Southwest Washington who want to become our communities’ and country’s next college graduates, public policy advocates, community organizers, professionals, entrepreneurs and mentors.

All activities are FREE, youth-designed and youth-led and focus on youth traditionally underrepresented in higher education, community leadership and public policy advocacy including undocumented, immigrant, indigenous, LGBTQ, HIV positive, gang-affected and low-income youth, youth of color, youth with disabilities, youth transitioning from foster care, homelessness and incarceration, youth who have experienced war, domestic violence and abuse, teen parents and allies.

We support the whole youth from wellness and education to professional success and leadership development, using storytelling, arts, sports, games, tutoring and and coaching. In the process, students from diverse neighborhoods, schools and backgrounds are actively developing alliances, reducing isolation and prejudice, designing joint projects and creating a dynamic regional network of young leaders who would otherwise not know one another.
