2017 intersectional social justice leadership camp

 

FREE, FUN + HANDS ON!

For five weeks we will explore topics on intersectional social justice and leadership with a diverse group of young people. We will engage young people in creating social change and community using political education, art, history, poetry, storytelling, & interactive activities.  

NEW THEMES EACH WEEK!

  • Immigration
  • Indigenous issues and colonization
  • Environmental Justice: gentrification/ displacement and food access and land use
  • Gender and Sexuality
  • Black Lives Matter
  • International Solidarity 

WHEN + WHERE

July 17th - August 18th  M-W-F  

  • Monday and Wednesday 11:00 am – 4:00 pm
  • Friday 11:00 am- 3:00 pm

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Anyone between the the ages 14 – 30
Those passionate about social justice, social change, leadership and community.  
Anyone who is underrepresented: youth of color, undocumented, immigrant, indigenous, LGBTQIA, differently-abled, ESL, ELL, low-income, young parents, STI-positive, people impacted by immigration and criminal justice system, to name a few.
